For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.

Tracing back the hands of time to last session’s manifestos’ day and press night, a lot of promises were made by the current executives some which have been fulfilled, yet, many remains either unfilled or neglected as at the tenth week of resumption.

Against this backdrop, this pressman decided to conduct a vox pop to seek Nasesites opinions about the present administration about their promises made to them. Below are their responses.

I don’t even know them but I will only talk about the people I know. Bolu (President) has been consistent and versatile. Academic and Welfare Director, based on the meeting I attended, I think she is outstanding by making provision of extra lessons (tutorials) for the freshers and stalites. I don’t know about others but I’ve been seeing Adeola (Vice President) at the secretariat which shows that she’s diligent about her work by making herself available for people that wants to make payments. Mufidat (Sport director) has been a responsible person from the onset and we’ve seen the way she has been trying to organize the male and female team. She just need to be thorough with her plans. I think Victor (PRO) is doing his best. Julianah, I don’t know her office. I don’t know the social director because we’ve not been hearing anything from the person at all. Well, maybe the person turned up for the former events they’ve done. (Kazeem Rokeeb, 400 level).

The current executives has been putting all their best since emerged but they still need to do better. Most of them act like novice. So, they need to wise up. All executives needs to be involved in everything that the department is participating in both curricular and extracurricular activities and carry other students along by being friendly to them so that they can follow their guide. Above all, executives can’t do everything. They need the support of the stakeholders in the department as they are students with experiences that can influence other students academically, politically and socially. I rate them 5/10. (Anonymous).

They should always be available at the secretariat. They are not always available. (Anonymous).

I will rate the President 8/10. He is always ready to listen to you at any point in time and his problem solving skills are top notch. I don’t know about the other executives. (Timilehin, 200 level).

The president is good and kind. Even though he is usually busy, he takes out time to hear our complaints and helps us. (Anonymous).
Bolu (President) 9/10, Adeola (Vice President) 6/10, Olayemi (Social Director) 6/10, Victor (PRO) 7/10, Julianah (Gen. Sec.) 9/10, Mufidat (Sport Director) 7/10, Fin. Sec. 9/10, Treasurer 8/10, Academic and Welfare Director 7/10. (Anonymous).

The executives are louder this session as compared to the previous years. Your consistency too is enviable. In my own opinion, you can do better and keep up the good work. (Anonymous).

I don’t even know them as there wasn’t a proper introduction of the executives. (Adeniyi Opeyemi, 400 level).

Well I will rate them 9/10 rate because they can’t be totally perfect. When it comes to academic, they are active with what I have seen so far as a transferred student. (Esther, 200 level).

The president is a hardworking, gentleman and a good leader. For the other executives, they are doing well but I will rate them 5/10. (Oladewusi Precious, 400 level).

I will rate them 10/10. The executives has been up and doing and they are doing great work. (Rofiat, 300 level).

I will rate them 7/10. They are really trying. They take things easy with us and they are our good role model. (Nurudeen, 200 level).

8/10. The administration is trying to put things in order and I really appreciate them for that. Keep doing the good work. Kudos. (Folayan Adetola, 400 level).

The executives are trying as they are always there for us. They are not rude and they are also helping. (Omobisola, 200 level).

It should be noted that the intention of this pressman isn’t to speak ill or discredit any executive as some might think, but it is to remind them of their promises being made and put more effort where it needs to.
