By: Idris Busari

Kindly introduce yourself sir

I am Ridwan Yekeen, a final year student of Department of Special Education, University of Ibadan, and a student entrepreneur.

What do you do or sell?

I do anything that brings money legitimately and convenience for people around me but to be specific, I sell unisex sneakers and watches with male wears.

How and when did you started your business?

In order to ease the stress of going to market and my concern for people to get quality wears at lower price, I started the business in 2020. I sell my goods basically for people who I meet online by delivering to their comfort home or a convenient place if their home is not easily accessible.

How do you balance your business with school activities?

They both do not affect each other at the moment. Like I said above, I sell basically online and this does not affect my school activities in any way at the moment.

How can you be reached if you want to be patronized?

I can easily be reached through my WhatsApp account link http://wa.me/+2347037973989

Is it advisable for students to go into entrepreneurship? If yes, how can they do it without affecting their primary goal in school?

Entrepreneurship is a process of customers’ satisfaction. Ability to find solution to the problems facing by the society. So, it is necessary for everybody to be an entrepreneur, because it is more than being in to buying and selling. We need to apply entrepreneurial skills in any field we chose. In engaging in entrepreneurship, one needs to look at the environment and find something that interest one to solve. By doing so, one would excel in it and one's primary assignment in school would not be left behind.

What challenges do you face as a student entrepreneur?

The only challenge that I am facing is the mindset to grow. I find it difficult to grow because of school engagement.

What actually keeps you going despite all odds?

The satisfaction I bring to my customers and the believe that things will set one day keeps me moving

Give us your advice for student entrepreneur?

My advice for co-student entrepreneurs is that they should not lose focus. They should keep hitting until they get something out of what they do. There is light at the end of the tunnel, they will get there one day.

Thank you so much for your time sir.

My pleasure sir
