The mother press of the Faculty of Education, NUESA press has appointed Mariam Tijani as acting Editor-in-chief following the removal of former Editor-in-chief in accordance to the directive from the Union of Campus Journalists (UCJ).

Prior to this, a petition had been written to the UCJ against the former Editor-in-chief by three members of the editorial board and the
Editor-in-chief of ASSESA press.

In response to the petition, a UCJ senate meeting was called and he was found guilty of financial misconduct and other activities that could potentially damage the reputation of the press leading to his removal from all associations within and under the UCJ.
