NASES KICKS OFF 3-DAY FRESHERS WELCOME PROGRAM

The National Association of Special Education Students commenced her 3-day Freshers Welcome program with a Freshers orientation on 24th July, 2024 in the PG room, Faculty of Education; new building.

The event, hosted by Temidayo Morakinyo p.k.a Phildee, started around 12pm with an opening prayer and recitation of anthems after which the HOD, the staff advisers, other lecturers and staff. In attendance were Professor Ademokoya, Dr Abodunrin, Dr Jacob, Dr Isaiah, Dr Onyezere, Mrs Adeleke, Mrs Akanni, Mrs Ajayi, Mrs Oyinlola and Mrs Joy.

The HOD started the orientation programme with an opening remark before handing over to the invited staff. The Freshers present were orientated about the importance of Special Education and the opportunities it presents. They were also taught the basics of CGPA calculation and the code of conduct of the department by Mrs Akanni and Mrs Adeleke respectively.

There were also games session and a giveaway session. Midway through the programme, the first class students from all levels in the department were recognised in what was tagged the "Late Alh. Abdulsalam Adio Maiden Award of Excellence"

The students present were served refreshments; the executives as well as associations within the department introduced themselves. The Vice President of the association was invited to give a vote of thanks and the event came to a close around 2:40pm.
