Special Educator Wins Mr NUESA Fresher

Oluwamogode Daniel from the department of Special Education and Oluwasemiloore Success from Counselling and Human Development Studies won Mr and Miss Nuesa Fresher at the Freshest Fresher Contest 26th of July, 2024 at the Faculty Large Lecture Theatre.

The contest, a battle of wits and talents was organised as the second phase of the Freshers Welcome programme and featured 3 male contestants and 5 female contestants as well as many artists who were there to entertain the audience. 

The contestant from SPE displayed sign language proficiency as he interpreted two songs in sign language while the contestant from CHDS showcased her talent as a spoken word artist. Other talents were; singing, dancing, acting and playing the recorder.

There was a quiz section after the display of talents where each contestants were asked questions relating to the Faculty and University at large. The winners were announced amidst cheers from the audience, marking the end of the contest.

NASES EXECUTIVES, OTHER STAKEHOLDERS PAY COURTESY VISIT TO HEAD OF DEPARTMENT

By Aishat Bello  Team Innovation, led by Staff Adviser I, Dr Abodunrin and Staff Adviser II, Mrs Adeleke paid a courtesy visit to the head of department, Dr A.F Komolafe alongside other stakeholders on Thursday, 27th of June. Other in attendance were the DCC chairperson; Jolayemi Peter, E-in-C of Spemedia Organisation; Aishat Bello, ASEEC chairperson; Abdul-Azeez Rukaya, SPECF president; Awogbade Timileyin, MSSN Special Education representative; Oyewole Nurudeen and NASES L&D President; Oriade Adewunmi. The meeting commenced with an address from Staff Adviser I followed by introduction of everyone present. The HOD then went ahead to address the executives and stakeholders. He advised all stakeholders to see their offices as grace from God and should serve diligently bearing in mind that they're ambassadors within and outside the University.
