UCJ KICKS OFF TRAINING FOR CJs IN FACULTY OF EDUCATION

The Union of Campus Journalists (UCJ) began its training for campus journalists in the Faculty of Education on Thursday 4th of July in A206, Faculty of Education by 4pm
In attendance were members of NUESA press and various departmental press as well as executives of the UCJ. The session started with a short address from both the UCJ Editor-in-chief; Tijani Abdulkabir and the UCJ President; Tosanwumi Tarre who admonished the present campus journalists to pay attention, learn and put what they learn into practice
The training was based on three key items; features writing, news writing and investigative journalism. The first part; features writing was taken by the Deputy Editor-in-chief of Indy Press, Tolu Ayeye while the UCJ Editor-in-chief took the remaining parts
The training came to an end with a closing remark from the UCJ President who advised the trainees to always be on their best behaviour and avoid breaking rules as they're meant to lead while others follow. The NUESA Editor-in-chief gave a vote of thanks and the session ended around 6pm
