NASES-UI EXECUTIVES HOLDS EMERGENCY MEETING WITH 100 LEVEL STUDENTS

The executives of the National Association of Special Education Students, University of Ibadan held an emergency meeting with the 100 level students of the department at the Faculty of Education on Friday 28th of October, 2022. 

The meeting which was attended by the President of the department, Ayanwole Boluwatife Joshua (Prof. B), the secretary of the department, Joseph Julianah and the president of the departmental fellowship, Oladele Opeyemi was organized to charged the 100 level students on ways they can all come out in flying colours.

While speaking at the meeting, the president of the department, Ayanwole Boluwatife Joshua (Prof. B) urged them to attend all lectures no matter what time it is stated for as that is the begining of their success. "your first class begins from your first class so you should make sure you attend all lectures and write attendance".

He stated further that some students have not completed their registrations in the department which could be a problem later for them as the department will not be responsible for any error in their results. "faculty due and departmental due are important for your course registrations as you will not be attended to without it. Go to your course adviser as soon as possible to get approved courses to be offered for the session so as not to cause problem for yourselves.

The president of the department, Ayanwole Boluwatife Joshua (Prof. B), who addressed the issue of tutorials for the 100 level students about the time and day that should be fixed for it. He added that the tutorial can start by 9:00am and end by 10:00am on Saturdays which will enable them to attend another class they have for the day. "it will be irresponsible of me to tell you to skip GES because of the tutorial. There is no big deal if I can dedicate myself available for the success of you all. Let us try and make 9:00am - 10:00 work and we won't exceed that time". 

The president of the departmental fellowship, Oladele Opeyemi advised them all not to put God aside in their academic endeavours. "we cannot leave God factors when it comes to academic because a lot of people gave up along the way because of pressure".

While it was later agreed that the tutorial should start by 9:00am and end by 10:00am, it was agreed that new time would be announced if there is need for it.
