PROCRASTINATION

It is pertinent for us to know that second semester in University of Ibadan is usually occupied with lots of different activities. Activities such as dinner, department/faculty/hall weeks, football tournaments and many more. As a result of these activities, students view second semester to be faster compared to first semester which is more of academics only. Students tend to be carried away by these activities and before they know it, school management releases examination timetable. This does mean that students should refrain from participating in these social activities but to know the ways they can balance the two up and will not affect their result.

Nasesites, know what you want. The primary goal of being in school is to study. Do not allow other activities affect your studies at the expense of your primary goal. Aim for good grades in all your courses. There is a saying that "if you fail to prepare, you prepare to fail". Start your preparation as early as possible. Do not wait till they release exam timetable before you start reading. Get past questions and lay your hands on them before examination starts. Organize yourself and study smart. Do not make it a habit of cramming as it is very possible you forget most of the things you crammed when you get into exam hall.

You are not there and you are asking how they distributed it. Ensure you attend classes and take note of every vital information from the lecturers. Firsthand information is second to none.

Are you the one that cultivates the habit of saying test is for the lecturers, we own the exam. The best way to get good grades is to perform well in continuous assessment. This gives you confidence and motivation to do well in exam. A mark is very essential to grading. Do your best to earn every possible scores.

Remember that you are a student in the University of Ibadan and you are within the university campus for a sole purpose to study. So, stop procrastinating and begin to study.
