Habits Students Typically Engage in While on Campus

University is a place where students live with little or no supervision. Campus is a setting where no one can fully control their affairs. It is saddening that students nowadays often get influenced by their surroundings. In this article, we will discuss some of the behaviors students commonly exhibit during their time on campus.
Students at the university often procrastinate. Upon arriving at school, some students are easily distracted by social activities rather than prioritizing their studies. They frequently postpone assignments until their leisure time after satisfying their social desires. Consequently, they might arrive late to class in the morning due to waking up late, needing to complete assignments, or relying on classmates to submit assignments on their behalf.
"Single at home; married in school" is a phenomenon observed among some university students. This refers to situations where male and female students live together, engaging in activities typical of married couples. Some students are misled by lust, investing themselves in relationships unrecognized by their families. This behavior often stems from the lack of supervision on campus.
Hookup culture is prevalent among female students on campus. Some justify their involvement in hookups as a means to earn money to cover expenses. This behavior can stem from greed or peer influence. The desire for quick wealth among male students often leads to involvement in fraudulent activities like "yahoo" scams. Some resort to impersonation and even employ metaphysical means (African Science) to deceive clients.
Moreover, students from humble backgrounds, aware that the money sent from home might not suffice, engage in various side hustles such as teaching, hairdressing, tailoring, plumbing, research, delivery services, and even bike riding. They typically manage their time effectively, balancing these endeavors with their studies.
In conclusion, as William Shakespeare aptly said, "Some are born great, some achieve greatness, and some have greatness thrust upon them." This can be interpreted as individuals being born with greatness, achieving it through effort, or simply being fortunate. It is up to each student to determine which category they belong to. It is important to remember that our actions should not only seek to please God but also to receive blessings from a God.
